Ellis was a Pearl River High School Alumni where he was inducted into the hall of fame on May 18, 1995. He was one of the many people who helped get the Athletic Program established when Pearl River High School opened in 1968. Mr. McPherson served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War and went on the become an Iron Worker for the Local 58 out of New Orleans, LA. until he retired.

Dennis moved to Milwaukee and was very active in the rugby club at the Up and Under Pub in late 1979. He began his Rugby career in Dover, NH. The Milwaukee club went on to win the US national championship in 1985. After playing first class rugby, he accomplished his dream of becoming a Forester. Dennis graduated from Dover High School class of 1971, and Thompson School at UNH. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era war.

Along with her husband of 27 years, Margaret is survived by her children, Daniel Mayfield, Teresa Mayfield and Heather Mayfield; stepchildren, Whitney Toth and Brigg Lawrence; sisters, Elizabeth Vintson and Audrey Motes; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She then moved to New York, NY, where she met her beloved husband of twenty-eight years, Jay Jacob Cohen, who predeceased her in 2000. A graveside service will be conducted in the Spring. Michael Messer, a life-long resident of Pearl River, LA passed away unexpectedly at his residence on April 29, 2022 at the age of 58. Mr. Messer was born in Picayune, Ms. on March 14, 1964 to John Messer and Carol Messer. He married the love of his life Mirian on September 8, 2007. Michael left a big legacy, of love and servanthood to God and people. He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult projects around the house. Michael was a Godly man and involved in many church activities.

Rosemary was a retired supervisor from the Illinois Department of Human Services. She was a member of the Pembroke Senior Citizens and was a community advocate. She was a Pembroke Township area resident for 51 years. Rosemary Gilmore, 80, of Pembroke Township, passed away Friday (Oct. 6, 2017) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. Curlee Jenkins Sr., 87, of Pembroke Township, passed away Saturday (Oct. 14, 2017) at his home.

BANTAM- John Klein age 70 of Bantam, Conn. passed away suddenly October 4th, 2021. He was born in 1951 in Bridgeport, Conn., son of Lillian and Daniel Klein of Fairfield, Conn. John grew up in Fairfield surrounded by his aunts, uncles, and grandparents on the family farm. He was a loving and devoted husband and father to his wife Lisa and daughters Kristine and Kate.

During her younger years Arlea worked at the Pentagon in Washington DC during World War II and was there celebrating when the war ended. She was married to Otis Sims Jr. for 51 years until his death. Thru the years she was involved in many civic & community activities.

She also contributed her theater talents as the acting coach at Housatonic Valley Regional High School. Betsy founded and operated for about a year the Falls Village Marshmallow Company, which was a testament to her love of marshmallows. Falls Village became one of Betsy’s greatest comforts, especially in the last three years, after she was diagnosed with cancer. Virginia Slate, 86, of Dudley, passed away at home on Friday, October 21, 2022. Born in Dudley on November 18, 1935, a daughter of the late Eli and Josephine DeLuca.

Joanie was a loving, selfless, brave, and beautiful person inside and out. She always put the needs of others before her own. She was a wife, mom, daughter, sister and so much more. She was loved by many and dedicated her life to healthcare and being a caregiver for those in need. Her daughter remembers her being so happy to receive the “Above the Best-National Caregiver Award.” She was happy to be recognized for simply following her heart and helping others. She got her wings now and is resting in paradise with our Father God in Heaven.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Weeks was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, JB Weeks, sisters, Hattie Mae Spiller, and Floy Williams, and brothers, Carl Crowe, and Clovis Mobley. Troy Jackson Green, age 83 of Guin passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mr. Green was born in the Pea Ridge community on September 2, 1938, to Grady Lee and Stella Mae Harris Green. Mr. Green was a member of the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church and spent much of his life working as a heavy equipment operator for the Marion County Road Commission. Troy loved to spend his spare time watching Alabama Football, woodworking, and peach seed carving. Troy had a great love for the guitar, he spent many days during his 83 years playing for many functions and groups.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two sons; one brother; and six sisters. Funeral services at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Hopkins Park, with the Rev. Howard Wills officiating. Laura was a homemaker and a resident of the Kankakee County area for 61 years. She was a former board member of Pembroke School District 259, director of The Time is Now Food Pantry, director of the Rev. George Washington Sr.

He loved spending time with and helping out his family and was always up for creating mischief with his many nieces and nephews. Kevin is survived by his mother, Ruth M. Neary of Torrington, CT, and siblings, Joseph Neary of Windsor, CT, Sean Neary of Harwinton, Maureen Neary of New Hartford, and Christopher Neary of Old Lyme. He also leaves three nieces, Lauren Neary, Emma Maltby and Sybil Neary and six nephews, Liam Maltby, Joseph Neary, Owen Maltby, Matthew Maltby, Aidan Maltby and Theo Neary as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Amenia Fire Company, Mechanic Street, Amenia, New York, 12501, whose frequent and unfailing assistance to George was, and is, so sincerely appreciated. George was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 3, 1928, the son of George W. Merchant mariner at 16, participating in the last of the famous and dangerous Murmansk runs to Russia.
